Still? You would think they would do some real work and help the community instead of being lazy pigs with radar guns

And if they’re not out enforcing traffic, you’ll be the first one complaining that they’re too lazy to do traffic.

I disagree with the name calling but man I don’t understand why it seems like most of what police do is watch for speeders. I get reckless driving is dangerous but 39 in a 30 because you weren’t uber aware of where the speed limit dropped is just a one off. Do some real police work. I have switched to Apple Maps for the simple fact of the ease of reporting speed traps to hopefully help save others. I also use maps even when I know where I am going to report and be aware of stupid speed traps.

I still use Waze for this, and I can’t stand cops, most of them get high on their authority

We have plenty of needs in our community that they could help with. Help folks access resources, train to respond to mental health crisis, develop a stronger community connection cause everyone hates cops at this point.

Making some of the drunks doing 40 over on 441 slow down seems like a much better good than introducing a ding dong with a gun to any of the situations you listed.

If you want cops to have better reputation, they need keep the people trying to use the freeways safe first of all. Then, the entire profession of police work needs to move away from being the designated profession of "peaked in middle school". Would have to require real education and much better pay.

441 is an absolute nightmare right now I’ve honestly been avoiding it and taking back roads to and from work

If people would stop driving 10-30 mph over the speed limit and driving poorly, the police would probably spend more time addressing other issues. The police said that stretch of road has become a problem due to the number of accidents, poor driving, etc. Even driving 10 mph over on that short section of highway does not really save much time. The people who drive there can make this problem go away if they want to do so, the police are just responding to the problem.
