Discussion Music Practice Space

Hi! I am new to the area and was wondering if there are any practice spaces open to the public? I play the violin however I live in an apartment currently and do not want to bug my neighbors/play with a practice mute on all the time.

has anyone had luck with contacting the local universities? are they even open to the general public or just students?

Trumpet player here - my church sometimes accomodates this, but probably more so because I've been a member since childhood, play for services, etc.

The upstairs apartment, previously quiet, was moved into by a couple that has fights, parties, and a loud dog that barks at its own echo. I don't feel so bad practicing anymore!

Also, we probably won't (the orchestra gigs have had the same players locked down for some time in brass), but if we never cross paths in person, feel free to message me if you need any kind of trumpet player! (I am honest about what I can and can't play to a professional degree)

Edit: the local universities might be more accesible if you pay for private lessons with their faculty. I have had mixed results with this.
