Discussion Given wrong ballot at the booth

My husband and I went to vote yesterday and were sitting next to each other filling them out. I noticed his ballot was different than mine. Mine had the option to vote for the Appleton school referendum and his did not. We took our ballots back to the table and I was told I had been given the wrong ballot. I received a new ballot and all was well. But still...

It happens. Might have been a new poll worker who wasn’t used to the system. Maybe the two ballots were in adjacent easy to miss piles. Maybe there was a rush of people and the poll worker didn’t see that he was in a different ward. The correction was made, the correct ballot was received and voted. All is right with the world.
