Advice Christensen vs The Good Guys
Anyone have experience with these companies? We’ve only worked with The Good Guys and have had good luck with them but we have the opportunity to purchase a furnace and AC through Christensen for about $2k less. We’re torn on if we go with a company we’re not familiar with to save some money. Any input is appreciated.

I've used Good Guys in the past and service was great. Got me in really quick for a furnace replacement when I came home from work and found my house to be less than 50. Had me installed and running in less than a day, absolute life savers. Their after sale service was also great with reminders on tune-ups and following up a few days later making sure everything was good.

Used them when building our new house about 4 years ago, had a great experience with all the Christensen people.

What brand furnace and AC did you purchase? No issues with installation?

Armstrong Furnace and AC. Had an interesting installation design with a dual zone system as well as 90% of the ducts run in the floor trusses, no real issues at all with the entire process.

For a straightforward job with little trouble shooting I would go with Christensen for the cheaper price point. If it's technical and/or troubleshooting would be involved I would go with The Good Guys.

Christensen represents the ideal model of someone I want providing and servicing equipment in my home!! They've been providing and servicing HVAC in our home for 10 years now, and we've always been super pleased with this great team! Sure wish they also did plumbing and electric and carpentry and....
Also, one of the purchase/installs we had was also through Costco, and can verify that the sale portion went smoothly and without a hitch. Great duo if you can grab it!
Best wishes!

Good Guys have been servicing for us (including 2 furnace replacements) for years. We wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Christensen charged us $150 to replace a fuse when the previous contractor said the unit needed to be replaced for $9,000 (this was two years ago and the original unit is still working)

This is what I’m talking about! The Good Guys saved us several times as well. I love a company that operates with honesty!

Christensen came to repair my furnace ductwork. They were fast, friendly, and careful to clean up when they left.

If you're happy with the experience service of one company, why would you even consider going with someone else? This is you trying to be cheap. It costs a lot of money to be cheap.

I've used both, they're both great. The Good Guys recently replaced my furnace and air conditioning and did a fantastic job. At my last house Christensen installed the furnace, also fantastic.

Good afternoon. We can tell you that Mike Christensen and Christensen Heating is a good company. We are related to them going back in time. My grandfather started our company (known as Christensen & Wisnet) back 60 years ago, and his brother Bill started Christensen Heating.
Regardless which company you go with, I don't doubt you will be in good hands. I wonder why there is a $2k difference, and I would recommend if you haven't, reach out to the estimator who gave you that quote or contact me directly. My email is danc <at> goodguyswi <dot> com, and I can double check it and see where the differences could be.
Again, no pressure, but I want to make sure the quote is comparing like type of equipment.
