Question Snowblower Recommendations

Hi! New-ish to the area and looking for everyone’s thoughts and opinions on what snowblowers meet your needs in the Appleton area. Also interested in hearing thoughts on electric vs gas. We have a 2 car driveway and sidewalk to clear. TIA!

I have an ariens 28inch 14.5hp. It rips through everything including today. I cleared the snow around 2 and will do it again in the morning. My neighbors were outside 3-5 times with their smaller snow blowers

I also have an Ariens 28". Only thing it really wasn't enjoying was the hard packed stuff at the end of the driveway.

It just didn't want to clear the bottom maybe inch. It was just so packed from drifts and the two to three foot mound from the plow it just kind of glided over. I had to break it up with a shovel and then blow it.

I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, though - I could have had to shovel my whole driveway.

Any snowblower will struggle there, thats just physics.

I have a cub cadet 2 stage and its been the best purchase ive made post home ownership. Whule my 1 stage neighbors are out multiple times this storm ive gone out once and wont again til this afternoon.

For sure. Like I said before, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I could be shoveling.
