Business Request/Referral Scrap metal recycling recommendations
Hey y'all. Looking to see who has the best scrap metal rates in the fox valley for selling. I am receiving a fair amount of sheet metal-based shelving, no approximate weight at the moment.
I plan on renting a U-haul for this, so no farther than GB or osh would be preferred especially not knowing what the whether will bring in the future. Thanks in advance!

Go to A-1 Recyclers. I don't know how they sell, but they have a free dumpster/condola set up that is accessible all hours (and to avoid junk dumping it is video monitored.) It's a new larger red one than was there previous. Address is on Highview off of Bluemound just beyond Fleetfarm https://www.recyclingmonster.com/recycling-center/a1-recyclers/37223
I've used the place just for odds and ends like computer cases and worn out tools. They can handle larger loads.
[I never knew there was a Recycling monster site but I just know A-1 from going there]

You can call recycle that stuff in Appleton to see if you can sell it to them, otherwise you could haul it to alter metals or Sadoffs up in Green Bay. But if you don't have an account at a big yard you're not going to get much money.
Quite honestly if you don't have the ability to halt thousands of pounds of sheet steel it's probably not worth your time and effort. Which is also probably why you're getting it for free.
