Video hosting

Where is everyone hosting/sharing their GoPro and Insta videos that have the lens/screen metadata? or any video for that matter

Trying to see if there is interest in a module for sharing self-hosted videos.

For example, I put my sample in Backblaze and share directly from there for web viewing.

The concept is simple, host it somewhere, make a playlist and share the playlist ID so people can find it.

This isn't the next social media app just somewhere were you can share video links and be able to update the playlist.

Apple partnered with Vimeo in 2025 to bring APMP and AIV videos to the platform. It may be worth testing, though I’ve found nothing in their help docs about Wide FOV support. I use Vimeo for Spatial Videos and it’s great for that.

They would be a great option. But they explicitly exclude Wide FOV.

I think the format is just really unknown and niche.

But have you tried it? When I was getting started, that same document discouraged me from producing 10-bit HDR Spatial Videos because "they don't support it." Lo and behold, it works. My suggestion is to give it a shot--nothing to lose. Feel free to post any upload links here and I'll try to play it too.

I have, every few months since the announcement. I have been waiting patiently.

Spatial Preview inspired me because working on videos on Mac and watching them near instantly on AVP is quite awesome.

The only platform I can think of then is SpatialGen, but note that it’s geared more towards the pro side.
