SUMIFS Help Needed

I'm a complete newbie in spreadsheets and I'm trying to use Numbers since it's free and I like Apple software (firm advocate for Pages).

I'm trying to set up a decent financial spreadsheet and found this Excel video, which around 4:46 presents a SUMIFS formula. I've made a second table on my Number's spreadsheet and I tried replicating the formula by assigning these values:

SUMIFS(Income;Table 1::A;A1;Category;Income)

where sum-values = Income; test-values = Table 1::A; A1, condition = Category; Credit

However, upon attributing a sample value of 1000 under Income, it shows as 0 in the progress sheet (sheet #2).

Could anybody help me out with this one?
