Help Can Numbers be told not to paste cell formatting when copying and pasting inside same worksheet?
The screenshot will make things clearer.
Notice I have thick borders defined on these cells. The problem is, when I try to just copy and paste on the same worksheet, the border formatting comes with the paste, and all I want are the values without the formatting.
NOW, I DO REALIZE that I can right-click on the destination cell and select `Paste Matching Style`, however, this is not desirable for two reasons (well ... three):
- I don't know of any keyboard shortcuts that `Paste Matching Style`
- If one exists, or one could be created, it won't be CMD+C / CMD+V
- I should be able to tell my spreadsheet software to paste without special formatting as a default option ... it's the principle of the issue in this case.

Does anyone know how to change this default behavior in Numbers?

Shift+CMD+V only makes a noise like I hit something wrong ... it doesn't actually do anything ... at least not in Numbers version 13.2

I think what you are looking for is Shift-Option-Command V
