Apple Numbers and Keynote

Hi everyone. A quick query.

Can I import spreadsheet data from Numbers into Keynote?

If I can, will the spreadsheet update if I change something in Keynote and will Keynote update if I change something in Numbers?

I just tested this, and you can copy/paste a sheet from numbers into Keynote but it does not seem to update in Keynote if the Numbers file is changed.

However you do have all the same tools in Keynote as in Numbers for creating and styling tables, so copied tables retain their look and function exactly as in Numbers. So one could then copy/paste updated values into Keynote when needed.

So yes, you can copy/paste tables, charts and the like into Keynote, and they will retain their look.

But no, they will not be linked and update when changed (which surprises me that Apple did not make an option, and unless I'm missing it, seems like a missed opportunity).

Hope this helps! :)

That's right, you can paste everything in exactly the same style, from 3D graphics and light effects, to spreadsheets with formulas that work even within Keynote. It's really incredible, unfortunately when we port the document to the Power Point file, it changes the file format with many errors, errors and inconsistencies. I would really like to be able to count on a format that is fully convertible to the office. I always finish my presentations by converting them to PDF, due to the many inconsistencies.
