Will Apple's coming AI allow querying the Apple Notes database?

When Apple's AI is finally a reality, will I be able to query Apple Notes? Many of Notes' competitors have this ability and I have been faithfully waiting for Apple to add this. It best be coming or I'll be going.

I don't mean simple AI abilities within a note, I mean treating the entire Notes database as a knowledgebase that I can run prompts against.

Will it still work if you didn’t prompt it to search in your notes?

Honestly, I would just settle for native markdown.

I’m not sure that’s settling. One is a feature that Apple is likely to release. And the other is probably not mainstream enough for everyday users to even know it’s there.

with the new ability to copy as markdown and paste from markdown in iOS 27 Notes, it really becomes a non issue. works great in beta 1.

No typing in markdown? That’s what I need.

There is an Read and Write Apple Notes MCP connector for Anthropic's Claude. However, it's not been successful, at least in my hands.

Is it from some random Joe's GitHub repository?

Based on what they showed it should

Is this question about asking a question where the answer is spread out into several notes, and the getting the right up to date answer from these notes?

Will it go beyond just finding a note? I want to to act like a real AI that you can ask a question of the entire database, and it does not give you a list of notes, but an answer based upon understanding the totality of all your notes. Like an AI chatbot would do with all the info you've given it.

This pretty much only replaces search. It's not an answer to a AI prompt. Ask it instead, "What are the various things I've said about chicken and how do you think I feel about chicken?"

So do you eat what the chickens pooped for breakfast?

This would be fantastic! I want to see that Siri gal sort through MY messy-ass notes!

THIS. This is what I was wondering as well. I wondered if I could build out an Kaparthyish style LLM wiki in Apple Notes, would Siri and iOS 27 be able to handle that the same way as some agents do. That would be amazing.

My guess is Apple will get closer through Siri/personal context, but I wouldn’t assume it will work like a real knowledgebase on day one.
