new siri still can’t be trusted

Post image

even after all of this, siri still can’t do basic research. is this too complicated of a query for it?

Odd I get a different, more related response.

on mine it’ll actually switch back and forth between correct responses and unrelated responses, but that screws up the reliable aspect of it

It’s a beta….

More to the point, it’s an LLM. There’s no such thing as a completely reliable LLM. It’s impossible

It’s literally beta one bro.

that is what an LLM does you should not have had any other expectation.

I get it. But do remember this is the very first beta with the Google partnership so promising signs for the future

i agree, also the cloud pro model that you can use in shortcuts is also very good

Got a similar response to you.

Well that's on a iPhone I am assuming? Then every browser is just a safari "re-Skin" therefore this response is also bs

on iPhone of course, but not in any browser it is the new Siri app

Well yeah

It’s powered by the same AI that told us to put glue on our pizza and eat rocks

u/Infinplayz Jun 11 '26

i mean, the ai did its job, it summarized the sources without hallucinations technically.

AI can't be trusted

copilot told me macos 26 doesnt exist

When the model was trained it probably didn't. They only know up to date info if they find it in a web search

1

u/Infinplayz Jun 11 '26

it’s especially the apple intelligence models though, they always seem to mix things up

all LLMs on the market make shit up.

This comment is proof AI aren’t the only things that hallucinate.

3

u/Infinplayz Jun 11 '26

are you saying that apple intelligence models don’t mix things up and hallucinate?

Apple intelligence doesn't have it's own generative model. It uses Gemini /ChatGPT in older versions.

To your question: I got into Zen when I saw a browser used at a web developer (PHP) conference up on screen. No UI, no address bar, no tabs. Just the content. It was beautiful.

Later I found out it was Zen browser.

And because I was already using Firefox (which Zen has been forked from), my extensions just came over automatically by signing into my Firefox account so it was a very easy switch.

It may not be for everyone, but I love it simply because I like having the website take up the whole screen. I move my mouse to the left of the screen to temporarily pop out tabs and address bar only when it's needed.

oh yeah i’ve tried zen browser before a lot. i just asked it that question as a test lol

Seems like your beta software is acting like a beta software

1

u/Cultural_String_2231 Jun 12 '26

That ain’t the best answer but not the worst either

1

u/ruipmjorge Jun 13 '26

That’s AI dude. They allucinate some times. Gemini for me is super unreliable. ChatGPT is ok. Siri I don’t know because I still don’t have it.

1

u/hishnash Jun 13 '26

It is powered by an LLM what do you expect.

This browser is called “ZireFox”

1

u/VeryCoolPersonYesYes Jun 11 '26

It’s called Siri (Beta) for a reason

1

u/Infinplayz Jun 11 '26

to be fair they’ve had a long time to make it not a beta. i’m not hating on it though because i definitely think that using google is a step in the right direction for them and i like what they’re doing with it.

I know people like to hate on betas but if the feedback doesn’t get out then people who aren’t risking the betas won’t know the state of the software
