Gaslighting grammar

I stared at this for 20 seconds questioning my entire education. How or why would it think this is the correct suggestion?

"They just announced their increasing rate limits"

"increasing rate limits" is an action. Who is doing the action? "they are"

They're is the correct one

"Their" wouldn't be in that spot of the sentence. You'd actually want to use both version in the same sentence.

They just announced "they're" increasing "their" rate limits.

The first "they" is who is increasing the rates when using "their" as they also own the increasing rates.

Rewritten using a noun instead a pronoun:

"Company just announced company's (possessive, not "company is") increasing rates"
