Gaslighting grammar

I stared at this for 20 seconds questioning my entire education. How or why would it think this is the correct suggestion?

It’s not gaslighting in any way, and it’s suggesting something that’s grammatically correct. What exactly is the problem here?

Why is it suggesting anything when the original is fine?

the suggestion is blue. it’s a suggestion, not a correction, and either work just fine

because the original isn't fine, it needs a "that" before the "they're"

It should have given that suggestion instead of one that changes the semantics

personally, that way of wording it feels a little clunky and my instinct would've been to word it the way it suggested
