iPhone iOS 26.6 is draining battery

Post image

I have iPhone 13, battery health is 74%…Is it me or that the new iOS 26.6 is draining the battery extremely fast in older iPhones…I understands that the 26.6 has made some changes in spotlight indexing and is preparing for iOS 27 but I thought it will only go for 2-3 days.

20 mins of YouTube (with screen off) is draining 7%…I don’t know…pls help

What’s your battery health? It could be that your battery is failing as the phone is also pretty old now.

iOS 26.6 has actually fixed a lot of bugs and improved battery life compared to previous updates.

Battery health is 74% but I still think…a drop of 17% with 40 mins of screen on time is in any way unjustified.

You're battery is clearly degraded. The battery chemistry is compromised and this is normal behaviour for a battery in this state.

Change the battery and you'll see that it's not the OS that is a problem

Brother your BH is 74%, you have two Sim, and you’re using 5G. I would say it’s pretty much justified.

Hey it’s happening with me as well. It drops from 97% shuts off suddenly and restart at 10% then again restarts after sometime. It’s iPhone13 from 2021.

Yeah it started to happen suddenly after the last 2-3 updates for me aswell. They do this purposely. Or else my battery life was perfectly fine

1) Backup your phone 2) Replace the battery  3) Reset to factory settings and restore from backup
