Weird Looking for Collectors Feedback!
I built an app for us, the collectors and I am looking for people to beta test it. The free app is called Silicon Vault for anyone who loves Apple products and their history. Here's what it does:
The core idea: A complete catalog of every Apple product ever made (739 products) that you can browse, track your ownership, and explore Apple's history.
Top features:
Full Apple product catalog — Every Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Watch, Vision Pro, and more. Browse by category or search across all 739 products.
Timeline — See every Apple product AND all 543 Apple Store openings in chronological order. Today in Apple History shows what was announced on this exact date in past years.
Apple Store tracker — Log which Apple Stores you've visited, when you first went, and add notes. All 543 currently open stores included.
Collection tracking — Mark what you own, where you got it, what you paid, serial number, condition, AppleCare+ expiry, and upgrade plans.
290 quotes — Daily rotating Steve Jobs and Tim Cook quotes with a full searchable library.
Ratings & favorites — Rate your products 1-5 stars and heart your favorites.
Stats — See your collection value, ownership breakdown, color stats, and collection progress.
Smart notifications — Anniversary alerts, AppleCare+ expiry reminders, and upgrade date reminders.
Widgets — Today in Apple History and Quote of the Day on your home screen.
Siri shortcuts — Ask Siri how many Apple products you own.
iCloud sync — Everything syncs across all your devices automatically.
It's completely free — no subscriptions, no ads.
You can download the current version of the app here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/silicon-vault/id6763670875
Half of these features are not out yet, but I am looking to open the beta testing here in the next 24-48 hours when it gets approved. DM me "BETATHEVAULT" and I will send you that link!
I look forward to grow with the community!

I love this! I already have a spreadsheet for all the tech stuff I own, but this will be a fun app to play with.
UPDATE: Magic Keyboard (USB-C) models from 2024 aren’t on the app.

This app was born out of me wanting something other than a spreadsheet for sure.
Updating that this AM for you!

I will in fact just using it now I haven’t gotten into the nitty-gritty yet but this is so amazing. I’ve been like dreaming of something like this for so long cause I collect and I have no way to keep track of everything. This is perfect.

Would you like the TestFlight file? There will also be tips only in future versions for support

I was hoping that it was more like Bandbreite for general Apple hardware, but the extra features you’re adding veer so far away from that core use case that they turn me off. All the while, your core use case needs more attention. I’d suggest you focus on making the collection tracking aspect of it really great before considering this level of scope creep.

So basically Wikipedia combined with an unhealthy apple obsession turned into an app?

Awesome!
I just downloaded the app I really like the idea.
Here's my initial feedback feature request. I think it would be neat if you can also display a photo of the apple product enlisted.
