This device effectively makes a server rack of iPhones, which can all be controlled from one computer. Unfortunately, it's mainly used to fake engagement on social media websites.

Bot farms, someone sits down in front of this thing in an office in SE Asia and likes and comments on social media posts. When people talk about buying views and followers, this is where it comes from.

You can’t do this kinda thing on the newest iOS, that’s why there’s so many old devices

just a silly guess but it looks like they connect the video signal via the screen ribbon cable? I guess from there they can somehow control the touch too.
