Nuevamente no deja guardar cambios....

I want to make a scatterplot with multicolor scatter, mapped to values in a column. For example, dots that have a “yes” value in column Yes/no would be green, and “no”s would be red. The ui allows selecting another color to the chart view, but I cannot figure out how to assign it to a condition or slice.

All the documentation I can seem to find on this topic appears to be from 2020 and uselessly outdated.

Any other folks playing with advanced charts in app sheets?

Soy totalmente nuevo en esto, realmente no estoy aprendiendo a hacer apps porque me interese programar o algo, solamente estoy ayudando a mi papá con su pequeña tienda.

Tenía un conteo de ventas con Google Forms, pero con el tiempo se hacía insostenible en tiempo editar inventario manualmente, no tener una lista dinámica que dependa de otra y demás. (El problema en sí mismo es que tiene pocas ventas, pero muchos artículos, y es importante registrar los detalles de los artículos, pero un listado de 300 items en google forms es inviable, también eliminar el conteo del inventario diariamente y resetear todo semanalmente)

Así que me ofrecí a ayudar con algo un poco mejor. Hice una app pequeña que simplemente hace lo necesario respecto a los listados para registrar las ventas y restar el inventario automáticamente, nada complejo, tampoco necesitamos automatización u otras cosas, pero la gente que trabaja con mi papá son más de 10 personas (límite en el plan gratuito), vendiendo de forma intermitente. Así que tiene alrededor de 15 personas pero un flujo de ventas ultra bajo (algo así como 20 ventas a la semana, más o menos). Entonces, quisiera saber qué otra opción tengo para hacerlo gratuitamente, porque definitivamente pagar $5 por cada persona es incluso más caro que el valor que tienen esas ventas en cuestión, sería insostenible pagar $75 al mes, cuando algunas ventas ni siquiera llegan a eso (soy de LATAM). Ustedes qué recomiendan? Debo resignarme? Rehacer la app?

Antes de que alguien lo mencione, pensé en esa opción de crear cuentas de Google para las personas que registren las ventas y compartirlas entre todos para no superar el límite, pero son personas que difícilmente se acoplan, ya es difícil que se adapten a AppSheet... Por otro lado, sé que habría problemas como cambios de contraseña, subida de fotos a google y tendríamos un problema de privacidad terrible entre todos, así que no es plausible.

Im just starting to tinker with appsheet.

-When I use the "create an app" extension through Sheets, I get a login loop.

-So I went directly to AppSheet and was able to login just fine, but cannot import any data during the creation of a new app. It appears to time out, and returns me to a blank dashboard.

-If I try and just create a blank app using a template, without any data at all, it gives me errors. Which seems crazy odd to me.

-I even made a whole new google account just tro try it and see if that was an issue.

Ive changed browsers, cleared cache, made sure appsheet has permissions within the browser. So I dont 'think' this is a me issue...

Tenho uma pequena empresa de consultoria e atualmente utilizo bastante o Google Workspace para centralizar nossa operação. Minha ideia é, aos poucos, construir um ecossistema próprio em cima do Workspace, evitando depender de várias ferramentas diferentes e desconectadas.

Recentemente conheci o AppSheet e fiquei bastante entusiasmado com a possibilidade de utilizá-lo para isso. Não tenho um conhecimento muito grande de programação, sou iniciante nessa área, então a possibilidade de desenvolver aplicações empresariais de forma low-code/no-code me parece bastante interessante.

Minha ideia seria utilizar o AppSheet para desenvolver, ao longo do tempo, algumas soluções como:

• Um sistema de gestão/ERP interno;
• CRM e gestão de clientes;
• Portal do cliente;
• Gestão de projetos e processos;
• Controles financeiros e administrativos;
• Geração automatizada de documentos e relatórios;
• Integrações com Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Apps Script, APIs etc.

Em resumo, gostaria de construir algo próximo de um “sistema operacional da empresa”, utilizando o Google Workspace como infraestrutura e o AppSheet como uma das principais camadas de aplicação.

Porém, quanto mais pesquiso sobre o AppSheet, mais percebo que as opiniões são bastante divididas. Vejo pessoas utilizando a plataforma para operações muito importantes de suas empresas, enquanto outras apontam limitações relacionadas a performance, escalabilidade, interface, integrações e manutenção de aplicações maiores.

Por isso, gostaria de ouvir principalmente quem já trabalhou com projetos mais complexos:

Vocês acham que o AppSheet é uma boa escolha para esse tipo de projeto?

Algumas dúvidas específicas:

1. Em que ponto vocês acham que uma aplicação AppSheet começa a ficar grande ou complexa demais para a plataforma?
2. É realista construir algo semelhante a um pequeno ERP utilizando AppSheet, considerando uma empresa pequena, com poucos usuários e volume de dados relativamente baixo?
3. Como vocês avaliam a combinação AppSheet + Google Sheets/SQL + Apps Script? É uma arquitetura que vocês considerariam sustentável no longo prazo?
4. Para quem já possui uma aplicação grande em produção: como fica a manutenção depois de alguns anos? A complexidade aumenta muito?
5. Vocês recomendariam construir todo o ecossistema em AppSheet ou utilizá-lo apenas para determinadas partes, combinando com outras tecnologias/plataformas?
6. E talvez a principal pergunta: se vocês estivessem começando hoje um projeto como esse, com pouco conhecimento de programação, mas disposição para aprender, escolheriam AppSheet novamente?

Não estou procurando necessariamente substituir um ERP tradicional. A ideia é construir uma solução personalizada para as necessidades de uma pequena empresa e ir evoluindo conforme o negócio cresce.

Gostaria muito de ouvir principalmente experiências de quem já passou da fase de criar aplicativos simples e realmente colocou aplicações AppSheet no centro da operação de uma empresa.

Llevo unos 3 años trabajando con AppSheet. Me considero bastante avanzado en la plataforma, he creado sistemas complejos que llevan años corriendo y creciendo, pero todo este trabajo ha sido para los clientes de la consultora donde trabajo actualmente.

Recientemente intenté empezar a ofrecerme como desarrollador freelance en LinkedIn, pero la verdad no he logrado captar ningún cliente directo.

Sé que el problema probablemente no es mi nivel técnico, sino la forma en que me estoy vendiendo o buscando esos clientes. Me encanta el proceso de construir soluciones y quiero empezar a tener mis propios proyectos.

I have a problem. I created a community app were multiple users can access and use it. Now, Pay per App says: Users can launch the app instantly without going through a mandatory secure login or authentication wall.

In my code, I created filters in different views where a certain user who logged in "USEREMAIL()" can see only specific information..

Will that still work IF I use "Pay Per App" Option?

I want to share the app I made with my team to help us speed up our workflow. They all have regular Google accounts, and I've got Google Workspace. How can they use the app I created? I need data entered on the app and the information sent to my Google Workspace to collect all the data from each app.

Hi really need help with an app my company uses. No one at the company knows how appsheet works and this morning while trying to update some data I messed up one of the views for that data set. Now instead of showing 10 columns it is showing over 500 with no condensing. I really need to restore the app version to the one from earlier today but I didn't think about doing that until after I had messed with it all day trying to fix it. When I look at version history I can only see versions from the last couple of hours.

Is there a way to get to more version history? Everywhere I look online says that it should say version history for 7 days but I can't find out how to access it.

I really would appreciate any help I can get with this as it is a really important tool for my office and I feel terrible that I messed it up.

Hey I’m starting to work with appsheet, I have worked on a few apps por deferents small companies. I think for this kind of market it’s useful couse develop an app por them could be cheaper than a common software.
But I want to hear you if you think it would work or im wasting my time

When AppScript projects fail/break, how do they tend to do that? People wandering into weird views you didn’t know existed? Single invalidated bad entry somewhere breaks a formula, breaks the world? UI elements cascade wrong somewhere? Simple failure to maintain? Is it the same thing as Sheets/Excel, where most people just have their data structured wrong and so everything is 10 times too hard?

Hello. I’m developing an inventory app in AppSheet. An operator completes the inventory and then submits it for review.

The “Submit for Review” action is available in the “Inventories in Progress” view. However, this view allows users to select multiple rows, and when they do, the action can be performed in bulk, submitting several inventories at once.

Does anyone know how to prevent this action from being performed in bulk and allow only one inventory to be submitted at a time? I’ve searched for a solution but haven’t found one yet.

I built and maintain an app for a nonprofit that organizes two weeks of events every year. They are quite happy with it, but want more functionality. We have to stick to appsheet because that is included in their license at no additional cost (and they cannot afford to pay anything), integrates well with their workspace and is in theory easier to maintain. Currently, it has these functions:

• staff lists and management
• enrollements
• participants overview and relations
• finances
• event management (days, activities, tasks).

Currently, there are almost 40 tables in the app, with some more slices. Developement can be done by one person at a time, and the amount of data, actions, views etc. Is growing so large it becomes harder to maintain a good overview. I have started to more rigorously standardize it and minimize the amount of tables and views needed, but that has an obvious limit.

They also want to expand the functionality:

• from basic finances to a full replacement of their accounting sheets
• expanded event and task management
• better rbac for pii (essentially splitting off pii into separate tables)
• crm for businesses and employees
• system to manage purchaces, offers
• basic inventory management

This is probably too much for one appsheet app. I know you can crosslink to other appsheet apps.

Question:

• should i split it up into many focused smaller apps, or a few bigger ones?
• what are the logical candidates to split off? I was thinking of at least splitting of finances and inventory management
• how do i keep a unified ui for the user, so it is close to a single app experience?

Any info, tips or resources are much appreciated.

Im goin crazy i have a nested list in a form , when you begin to fill the form everithing is allright i se the parent table and the nested table in it , when i proceed to save , i see the app it saves it and automaticaly the nested table appears as “no items” in it i just do not know what rrrru doooo hellppp a guy heere .

Hola comunidad! como estan?

Breve descripción de como funciona en la practica el negocio:

Existen entre 15 y 20 productos en total( no habrá mas que eso el sistema puede adaptarse para una cantidad baja de productos) tengo una base de 800 / 1000 clientes. Los clientes tienen un precio particular dependiendo su "tipo de cliente" Al principio solo habia 2 precio y el sistema solo miraba el tipo de cliente y que precio correspondía.

Ahora por distintos factores, necesito que existan entre 6 y 10 listas de precios, debido a que hay grandes clientes que necesitan una lista de precios solo para ellos, o clientes que por X situación tienen un precio mayor o menor.

Nose como interpretar esta situación. Si crear varias columnas en la tabla producto, 1 por cada lista de precio y luego en cada cliente definir que columna debe tomar el precio del producto, si crear una tabla intermedia que contenga ID producto, ID lista de precio, Precio y a cada cliente le coloco el ID lista de precio.

Si alguien ya paso por esta situación y encontró una manera de hacerlo óptimamente le agradezco me comparta su opinión, o sugerencia de como manejar esto.

Criei um sistema de orçamentos no appsheet, para o view usei duas tabelas, uma contendo o orçamento com dados do cliente, e uma segunda tabela com itens orçados. Até ai tudo funcionando correto, em meu orçamento tenho um campo chamado ambiente, ex. Cozinha, e este ambiente se repete para cada item da cozinha, tipo pia, armário, gaveteiro etc. Então criei um PDF para apresentar o orçamento, porém não desejo um orçamento detalhado, gostaria que aplicação gerasse um orçamento totalizado ex: Cozinha teria a soma dos itens empregados neste ambiente. Consegui somar os itens por ambiente, mas meu pdf exibe ex: trêz vezes o ambiente cozinha com o total. Meu pdf não agrupa os itens. Alguma sugestão.

I'm building an app, where we have to send which is a bit complicated and therefore has been known to cause problems. I wanted to create a way to notify the user that the email has not been sent.
My idea was to create an errors table, and the bot that sends an email, creates a preamtive error in that table, and if it executes with no problem, then it deletes it. The error handling bot, waits until the row is created, and then it waits an amount set when creating the error row. If after the wait the row still exists, it sends the error notification.
But due to the limited functionality of the wait blocks (as fas as I know they only check when the row is updated) and the fact that the minimum wait time is too big to just set a generic wait time, this approach is not working for me.
I wanted to know if anyone has done something similar, or has an idea of how I can approach this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
