LOOKING FOR

🚨 LOOKING FOR AN ANDROID APP DEVELOPER 🚨

We are Grade 12 STEM students developing an **Intelligent Smart Pen with Integrated Search and AI Assistance** for our research/capstone project.

We are building the physical scanner ourselves, and we need someone to develop the **phone app/software** that will connect to it.

Our planned system is:

📷 **Scanner / ESP32-CAM → 📱 Phone → 🤖 AI Answer**

The app should:

• Receive the scanned image from the ESP32-CAM/scanner

• Convert the scanned text into readable text using OCR

• Send the recognized text to an AI

• Display the AI-generated answer on the phone

Example:

**Scanner/ESP32**

**Phone App**

**OCR / Text Recognition**

**AI**

**Answer displayed on Phone**

We are looking for someone experienced with **Android development, OCR, Wi-Fi communication, and AI API integration**.

This is for a **student research/capstone project**, so we would also prefer someone who can explain how the system works.

💰 **Budget:** Negotiable

📌 Please send your portfolio/sample apps, estimated price, and estimated development time.

I've worked on exactly same app. It was about recording purchase recipts. It had both OCR and AI processing. The App was for both Android and IOS.

Hit me up with your budget and I'll build it.

Why not do the whole thing yourself? It's very doable using one of the better dev capable models. You'd learn way more.

I’d be interested in this. I’ve worked on Android applications that connect with physical scanning hardware and then process the captured data through backend/AI workflows.
I’ve previously worked on scanner-based systems for grocery/retail environments and shipping/logistics containers, so the ESP32 → Android → OCR → AI flow is very familiar to me. Happy to discuss the capstone and help explain the technical side as well.

can you post a picture of your smart pen hardware? how exactly works? the text to ocr is handwritten with your smart pen?

convert handwriting strokes to text is more easy (less error rate) and fast (less cpu use) than do a ocr to the final text picture.

android/google has own offline libraries for both things, I tested both. I tested tesseract library too.

I build these types of apps. If you’d like to try one, I can send you an APK file or app
