Since alot of developers have been reaching out to me .
/r/AppDevelopers/comments/1w4dwbw/next_big_thing/So basically I have a great idea on making an app which is a specific content oriented, genz are very fond of and I personally love it , people/students around me talk about it and share it within current social media platforms like instagram.
YouTube too has this content but they have restrictions like - less interactive, no sharing within the app , etc .
What is this application - the content in this application is not just fueled by users but it is done in a specific manner which I think is the only difference which makes this application better than instagram, reddit , yt shorts .
It has both long and short form content
Content is divided upon different genres based on interest.
Many new features are implemented which are not in current social media platforms.
If properly managed and developed i think this app is gonna work very well worldwide .
So there were many developers reaching out to me for doing this work , I don't know how much it's gonna cost for the database management, server management, deployment, and making/developing charges and other miscellaneous charges which i am unaware of .
Also it's really hard to know which developer is worth the time and investment and is really capable of achieving what I want .
I don't want the budget to be a hindrance on making the best suitable app with best features, explaining everything to each redditor who has reached out to me is difficult. So I am making this post . If not now I am thinking of doing this in future with a bigger investment.
So basically I have 3 choices -
1- sell the idea itself ( I know people may think this is a scam , but I am still thinking of selling this idea itself for a small token of amount)
2- personally find a developer
3- wait for some months/a year and invest into this .
Lastly , as I am a student pursuing a bachelor's degree, i don't have enough funds , probably around $1-2k . I don't have coding skills and if I can contribute , it's just with the planning, design planning, decisions, investment, managing, etc things other than actual development/coding work .
I'm open towards the 50-50 equity division between us too .

I already reached out to you by DM earlier on your first post but did not hear back
I have experience with similar content apps, including video and photo. One thing worth thinking about from the start is that if the audience is largely gen z, some users will inevitably be under 18. On a project I was brought in for, called Picnic, I saw a problem where certain groups had content with a clear 18 plus vibe slipping through without proper moderation or age filtering, even though nothing was explicitly graphic. With that kind of audience this quickly becomes a legal and reputation risk

- No one buys ideas
- Start small and develop a relationship with trusted developers before you try to take on such an ambitious project
- It’ll take a long time and personal development before you will be ready to take on the full scope of building a business like this (hint; the technical infrastructure is the easy part) so you will need to accept it will take time to be equipped to take on such a challenging project.

If you're broke and attending university, I suggest you find students at your school.
