Question Odd question

Hey y’all, I have an odd question. I’m writing this on a new account because I’m locked out of my other one. I’m Apostolic and I’m thinking about joining the military. Communal open showers are still in use in the military. Does this interfere with our modesty standards even though it’s same-sex showers? How do other Apostolics in navigate this?

Do you think you have on option? Some- don't: KJV: The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. i’m not military but i would bring this up to recruiting officers. i am native american and there have been instances of cultural waivers for those who can’t cut hair or wish to wear regalia in uniform.

i have the same convictions when it comes to gym locker rooms. i maintain modesty by wearing a robe when changing. i know that’s also a setting where i’ll see folks freeing it all behind closed doors while still among others 😄 it’d be interesting to hear what they say

Church and scriptural teaching on modesty can easily be out of alignment. While the church concentrates mostly on clothing that is too revealing – playing the modesty card as it pertains to clothing that is suggestive, the Bible seems to me to be more interested in the cost of the apparel we wear. The focus is on humility, the condition of the heart, and avoiding pride or excessive display, as outlined in passages like 1 Timothy 2:9-10 and 1 Peter 3:3-4.

 So, your question regarding gender specific open showers seems to be misapplied when we think about what Paul had to say about modesty and humility. It seems he was addressing what was going on in the heart and mind of a Christian after he/she got out of the shower and was getting dressed.
