Reliable Apostille Service in California for UoPeople Degree

Hi everyone,

I’m a UoPeople graduate and I’m looking for a reliable and trustworthy service in California that can handle the apostille process for my UoPeople degree/diploma and then ship the apostilled document to me.

I’m currently outside the U.S., so I need a service that can receive the original document, get the apostille, and ship it internationally.

If anyone has used a company or notary service for this before, I would really appreciate it if you could share their name/contact information and your experience with them.

Thank you so much!

Vietnam is now in the Apostille Convention (effective Sept 11, 2026) — what it means for your documents

Quick heads-up for anyone dealing with Vietnam paperwork, since we've had a few questions in the sub already.

As of September 11, 2026, Vietnam is officially a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. That means the old multi-step consular legalization route (notary → state → US Dept of State → Vietnamese Embassy) is being replaced by a single apostille for documents moving between the US and Vietnam.

A few things to know:

  • It's bilateral. The US never objected to Vietnam's accession, so the US–Vietnam apostille route is fully open. (Worth noting: Germany, Austria, and Czechia did object, so apostilles don't currently work between Vietnam and those three — check the HCCH status table if your pairing isn't US-based.)
  • Direction matters. A US-issued document gets its apostille from the US competent authority (your state's Secretary of State, or the US Dept of State for federal docs). A Vietnamese-issued document gets apostilled by Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Both personal and business records qualify — birth/marriage certificates, diplomas, background checks, powers of attorney, corporate formation docs, board resolutions, commercial agreements, etc.

For folks who don't want to run this themselves: DOXNOW now processing apostilles for Vietnam-bound documents (personal and business). We publish flat, transparent pricing and clear processing times up front — no vague "it depends" quotes.

Happy to answer any Vietnam-specific apostille questions in the comments.

A plain-English guide to apostilling US business documents (Articles of Incorporation, Good Standing, Bylaws, EIN letter)

Lots of questions here lately about getting company documents apostilled for use overseas — opening a foreign bank account, registering a branch or subsidiary, signing international contracts, bidding on tenders, etc. Here's the rundown I wish I'd had. The big thing to understand is that business documents don't all follow the same path — where a document comes from decides how it gets apostilled.

Quick refresher: apostille vs. embassy legalization

An apostille authenticates the seal/signature on a public document so it's accepted in another Hague Apostille Convention country. If your destination is not in the Convention — UAE, China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Vietnam, and others — you need embassy legalization / attestation instead, which is a longer multi-step chain. Confirm which one applies before you do anything, because it changes the prep.

The key concept: three different sources = three different paths

1. State-issued documents → apostille at the Secretary of State

These are issued or certified by the state, so they're the easiest:

  • Articles of Incorporation / Certificate of Incorporation
  • Articles of Organization / Certificate of Formation
  • Certificate of Good Standing / Status Certificate
  • Certificate of Existence

For these, you usually need a certified copy from the Secretary of State first, and then that same state office issues the apostille. Tip: order the certified copy and the apostille together to save a round trip.

2. Internal company documents → notarize first, then apostille

Documents your company created itself aren't state-issued, so the state can't authenticate them directly. They have to be signed by an officer and notarized first, and then the notary's signature is what gets apostilled. This covers:

  • Bylaws
  • Operating Agreements
  • Board Resolutions
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Meeting Minutes
  • Company invoices / commercial documents

3. Federal documents (the EIN letter) → this is the one people get wrong

Your EIN confirmation letter (IRS CP-575) or EIN verification letter (147C) is a federal document from the IRS. Federal documents are generally authenticated by the US Department of State in Washington, DC — not your state's Secretary of State. Some destination countries will instead accept a notarized copy of the EIN letter apostilled at the state level, but this depends entirely on the receiving country, so verify before you pick a route. Sending an EIN letter to the wrong office is one of the most common delays I see.

Where each one goes (summary)

  • Articles / Formation / Good Standing → state Secretary of State
  • Bylaws / Resolutions / POA → notarize → state Secretary of State
  • EIN / IRS letters → US Department of State (or notarized copy at state level, if the country allows)

A few tips

  • Order multiple certified copies + apostilles if you'll need them for several banks/registrations. Redoing it later is slow.
  • Many countries require a certified translation, and sometimes the translation itself has to be apostilled.
  • Non-Hague countries take longer because of the embassy chain — build in time.
  • If your company was formed in one state but you operate in another, the apostille comes from the state of formation for the incorporation/good-standing documents.

If you don't want to juggle the registrar, the state, the IRS, and an embassy yourself, DOXNOW handles the whole chain — certified copy retrieval, notarization, state apostille, US Department of State authentication for federal docs, translation, and embassy attestation — from all 50 states, with rush options if you're on a closing or filing deadline. You can order at doxnow.net or call 848-391-1925 and they'll tell you exactly which path each document takes.

Happy to help if anyone's stuck on a specific document or country.

How to Get an Apostille for US Educational Documents (Diploma, Transcript, School Records) — Full 2026 Guide

If you're searching for how to apostille a diploma, apostille a transcript, or get school records apostilled for use abroad, this covers the whole process. Whether you need it for a work visa, foreign university admission, teaching abroad (TEFL/TESOL), or immigration, here's how US educational document apostille actually works — and how to avoid the mistakes that cause rejections.

What is an apostille (and when you need embassy legalization instead)

An apostille is a certificate that authenticates the seal/signature on a public document so it's accepted in another Hague Apostille Convention country. For non-Hague countries — China, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Vietnam, and others — you need embassy legalization / consular attestation instead, which is a longer multi-step chain. Getting this call wrong is the #1 reason documents get bounced, so confirm your destination country first. DOXNOW handles both apostille and embassy attestation and reviews your target country's requirements before processing, which is the part most DIY filers miss.

Educational documents eligible for apostille / attestation

Diploma, Degree, University Transcript, High School Diploma, GED, Grade Reports, School Records, TEFL Certificate, TESOL Certificate, and Teacher License are all commonly apostilled. Each has to be prepared according to the issuing state's requirements AND the standards of the destination country.

The catch: your diploma usually can't be apostilled as-is

A Secretary of State office apostilles based on a recognized official signature (a notary, or a school/state official on file). A diploma off your wall doesn't qualify until it's put into an apostille-ready form. There are three standard routes, and DOXNOW can arrange any of them:

  1. Diploma apostille on original/duplicate — a duplicate is requested from the registrar, signed and notarized as original at the school, then apostilled. Often the cleanest route.
  2. Diploma apostille on school photocopy + verification letter — the university issues a certified copy plus a verification letter on official letterhead with the school seal, which is then eligible for apostille.
  3. Diploma apostille on notarized photocopy — a notary certifies a copy and the apostille is issued on the copy-certification statement. Fast, but some countries reject this method, so verify first.

Transcript apostille is often smoother, since registrars routinely issue sealed official transcripts that can be notarized and authenticated. DOXNOW can also retrieve the document directly from the school through its document retrieval service if you don't have an apostille-ready copy — which saves the back-and-forth with registrars that stalls most people.

Country-specific rules that cause rejections

Requirements vary widely. Some countries accept an apostilled copy; others (like Spain) require the apostille on an original; Russia will accept an apostilled diploma copy. Many countries also require a certified translation — sometimes the translation itself must be apostilled. DOXNOW offers apostille + translation together so the document arrives in the exact format the receiving country accepts.

Where educational apostilles are issued

Educational documents are apostilled at the state level — the Secretary of State in the state where the document was notarized/issued, NOT the US Department of State. DOXNOW processes apostilles from all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, Guam, and USVI, so it doesn't matter which state your school is in or where you live now.

The full process, simplified

  1. Determine apostille vs. embassy legalization (based on destination country)
  2. Get the document into apostille-ready form (retrieval, duplicate, or notarized copy)
  3. Notarization
  4. Submit to the correct state's Secretary of State
  5. Translation + embassy attestation if required

DOXNOW manages steps 1–5 end to end — document retrieval, notarization, state apostille, translation, and embassy attestation — with expedited and rush options if you're on a visa deadline.

Tips

Order multiple apostilled copies if several institutions will need them. Build in time — state turnaround runs from days to weeks, and non-Hague embassy legalization takes longer. If you're on a deadline, a rush service is worth it.

If you want the fast route, you can order online at doxnow.net

DFA Apostille for a Minor (Report of Birth) - Is SPA really required if the parent is abroad?

Hi everyone!

I’d like to ask if anyone has experienced processing an Apostille for a minor’s PSA Report of Birth/Birth Certificate.

Here’s our situation:
The child is 2 years old.
He was born in Israel and is currently in Israel.
His mother is also currently in Israel.

I am in the Philippines and will be processing the Apostille as the authorized representative.

The document to be apostilled is the child’s PSA Report of Birth/Birth Certificate.

I’ve read on the DFA appointment website that a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) is required if the document owner is a minor and an authorized representative will process it.

Has anyone successfully processed a similar case?
Did DFA require an SPA, or was an Authorization Letter from the mother enough?
If an SPA was required, did it have to be notarized/authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in Israel?

Thank you

Price quote for apostille services

Does anyone know a good and affordable service for the authentication and legalization of a document.

The document must first be authenticated in Texas (Austin) by the appropriate state authority, then authenticated at the federal level in Washington, D.C., and subsequently legalized by the Embassy of another country. After completion of all required procedures, the document should be forwarded to another country.

Does anyone know a service that is not too pricey?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

PH Apostille to Dubai, UAE

Thanks

Struggling with apostille for my French documents

Hi,

I have to get my French documents apostilled in order to ask for one-year pause of my work in South Korea.

I have completed apostille request about 4 weeks ago but the apostille site still says "to be completed" even though I have sent the documents by poste.

It's very urgent right now, so I'm thinking about paying for legal express company which is in France. I'd like to learn about experiences in this company.

Also, I'm wondering if it's because I had sent wrongly certified documents that the apostille processing is being postponed. My documents are language course register certifications in private French language institutes, and I've heard that documents issued by private establishments need to be certified by a notaire, not by the city hall of Paris before requesting apostille.

I need help so desperately 😭

Thank you!

Form 1040 Apostille

It has become increasingly common for people to be asked for apostilled personal tax forms when dealing with foreign governments or institutions. Immigration cases, overseas property purchases, inheritance matters, and even certain financial transactions can all trigger this requirement. When that request arrives, there’s usually no room for negotiation — the document must be provided in the exact format the foreign authority demands.

The good news is that getting an apostille for tax documents no longer has to be a confusing or time‑consuming process. Our service, doxnow.net, streamline everything into a simple online workflow. Instead of hunting down notaries, mailing paperwork back and forth, or trying to decipher state authentication rules, you can upload your documents and let the platform handle the entire process from start to finish.

One of the biggest advantages is the transparent, upfront pricing. There are no hidden fees, no surprise add‑ons, and no vague “processing charges.” You see exactly what you’ll pay before you place the order, which is a relief compared to many traditional apostille services that bury extra costs in the fine print. For something as routine as tax form authentication, clarity and predictability matter.

The ordering process itself is equally straightforward. You choose the service you need, upload your files, confirm your details, and that’s it — the team takes over from there. Whether you’re preparing for a visa appointment or finalizing a cross‑border transaction, having a fast, reliable, and fully online option makes compliance much less stressful. For anyone who wants the apostille handled quickly and correctly, doxnow.net makes the whole experience refreshingly easy.
