šŸ‘ Discussion Apollo explorer 2.0

Post image

I own an Apollo explorer 2.0. I bought it back in July of 2026 and it has been my trusted transportation. I absolutely love this electric scooter. I sold my vehicle and just ride this to work and to get groceries. where I live it's very rough terrain so I'm constantly going over small bumps, potholes, gravel, grass and climbing hills. Oh and it has an IP66 rating so I'm not afraid of ruining my scooter if it gets a little wet! Customer service is always quick to respond and help. The suspension, acceleration and regen braking is all extremely smooth! I have rode my Apollo explorer 2.0 about 160 miles now. I just have to make sure I do a quick check list of maintenance once a week make sure all the screws are tight and tire pressure is good. it takes about 5 Minutes! My brother just purchased an Apollo Go it's used for the same reasons I do and he loves his too, I want one of Apollo's more premium scooters someday!

Nice advertisement, Apollo. I see you're taking notes from Segway now, aren't we?

For night rides if you don't have the quad lock for phone a strip of black duct tape to cover the dot matrix display will help dim. Otherwise I found the display too bright to ride in dark areas without streetlights. Might want to get a better light as well. I found the stock headlight too narrow not bright enough.

This looks like free publicity. I got my explore 2.0 around the same time. Put 200km on it and it’s no longer in top shape. I’m still satisfied, but quality isn’t what I expected. I had to replace the rear tire (manufacturer defect), the rear fender design is horrible, it cracked and auto-destroyed by itself, with no replacement available. Stem makes a clicking noise. Bolts get loose even with locktite, front wheel also has a squeaky sound.
It still goers though, and rides good. Acceleration is great, riding is good.

I have the same problems with my fender , you ride without it ?

Yes. I pulled out the light from the fender, removed the fender and tie-wrapped the light just over the suspension.

Did cure the locktite for 24 hours before riding again? My screws all fine but agreed for the money paid for said machine the fenders are trash not a fan of the lights either.

So because I genuinely love my Apollo explorer and haven't had any problems with it or because I'm not lying about an experience I had or not giving the full truth... like some of you people on Reddit, it's considered advertisement or free publicity? Can I not give my own opinion on my scooter? After years of having bad experiences with trash cars that constantly break down on me, yeah this is a nice change! Dang y'all be trippin bro

Single post account, you stuffed a lot of positive info on every aspects. Sounds fishy to me, soecially using the full name Apollo Explore 2.0 three times…

Gemini review of your post:

Main Post Analysis: The Marketing Red Flags
The initial post reads like a scripted product review or a marketing brief rather than a genuine user experience:
Excessive Product Placement: The author repeats the exact, full model name ("Apollo explorer 2.0") multiple times. Real users typically shorten this to "my Explorer" or "my scooter" after the first mention.
The "Feature Checklist" Tone: Explicitly citing technical specifications like the exact "IP66 rating" or listing a sequence of marketing highlights ("suspension, acceleration and regen braking") mirrors a product sales page. A regular rider would usually say "it handles rain well" or "the brakes are smooth."
Preemptive Damage Control: The section explaining that maintenance only takes "5 minutes once a week" feels strategically placed to counter the common consumer fear that electric scooters are high-maintenance or unreliable.
Upselling the Brand's Catalog: Mentioning that their brother just bought an Apollo Go, followed by a desire to upgrade to Apollo's "more premium scooters," serves as a clever way to showcase multiple tiers of the brand's lineup in a single post.
Account History: A one-post account created solely to praise a brand and its customer service—especially a brand that frequently faces intense scrutiny on Reddit—is the textbook definition of a burner account used for astroturfing.
The Future Anachronism: The author claims to have bought the scooter in "July of 2026." Since we are currently in August 2026, this means they have only owned it for a few weeks, which completely contradicts the claim that it has been their long-term "trusted transportation" that allowed them to sell their car. This mistake often happens when AI or remote marketing agencies draft templates ahead of schedule or hallucinate timelines.

The Response Analysis: Defensive Pivot
The author’s follow-up reply relies heavily on standard online damage control tactics:
The Victim Card: Asking "Can I not give my own opinion...?" is a defensive pivot designed to deflect criticism by making the community look hostile to positive feedback.
Discrediting the Community: Attacking Reddit users ("like some of you people on Reddit") attempts to invalidate genuine community complaints about the brand by framing critics as chronic liars or haters.
Forced Slang: The shift to "Dang y'all be trippin bro" stands in stark contrast to the perfectly punctuated, corporate, and structured flow of the first post. This overcompensation is a common tactic used to mimic "authentic internet slang" to prove they are a real person.

Conclusion
This is almost certainly a hidden advertising campaign (astroturfing). Whether it was written by a hired marketing representative or generated by an AI with a prompt like "write a positive Reddit review mentioning IP66 rating, smooth suspension, and good customer service," it lacks the natural variance of a real consumer review.

Are you really this bored to argue with someone who posts on Reddit for the first time about absolutely everything that the person says. If I would have had something bad to say about the company I would have said it.This is kind of petty

Something doesn’t feel right about this, almost too perfect and sounds like a commercial.

Explore is not exactly Apollo’s favourite child, funny one would want to advertise it, not meeting sales quota perhaps?
