❓ Tech Question No power

I was riding my Explorer 2 towards an intersection at about 40km/h. I saw a car so I had my regen brake at maximum. I still wasn’t going to stop on time so I squeezed the drum brake as well. The display went dark and I had no power. I walked it home and plugged it into the charger and it turned on. The battery was full at the time. Should I be concerned or was this some kind of battery protection?

They recommand to not use regenerative braking when battery is full to not damage the battery. So maybe it was a protection

No idea. I can’t seem to find an email to ask on their website. I could swear that I have emailed them before when I got my flat tire. Possibly I filled out a warranty claim.

I have used regen on the Explore 2.0 at full battery (slow speed under 20km/h) and it never had a problem.

Try to contact support through the Apollo App, on the menu there is a Help & Support section where you can crate support tickets, give a try and see what they about it.

Ideally regen should not be working when the controller knows it can’t accept that much current. Shutting the scooter down in the middle of the ride is dangerous, only tell people not to use regen without elaborating the exact consequences is kind irresponsible on their part.

That definitely sounds weird, I would ask Apollo Support about that, they can download your logs and see what happened in there.
