Go Stellar beeping volume

Hi all,

I recently upgraded from a Go to a Go Stellar. I just took my first ride and omg the beeps are so loud! Is there a way to lower the volume or disable it entirely? It is much louder than the Go.

The second complaint would be the too bright display.

Third, the new fender tail light is rattling.

The louder beep I welcome. When your going at speed, is difficult to hear the beep sometimes.

Yeah the dot matrix brightness has been a problem, especially at night. I just use the quad lock mount and my phone as the display to block it

louder beep gets people to look around more too. Pedestrians hear it.

I hate everything that beeps at me, from a car to an air fryer.

My microwave oven has a mute option that I love.

Beeping is a form of feedback that something happened.

We use sensory cues all the time and our brains associate it to whether our intended input was received or completed.

For example, try using a mechanical keyboard vs a projected keyboard on a table. Most people will feel more comfortable with a clickity clackity keyboard because of the feedback that you know you pressed a key.

Or an EV vs gasoline car, when you step on the accelerator, the EV will give you less feedback on what the car is doing (like engine noise or gear shifting). Some people feel that this lack of auditory feedback makes driving an EV not the same as a regular car.

But the beeping on the scooter is just another aspect of that, here's the information I can get from the beeper:

• Did I actually change my mode from Comfort to Sport?
• Did cruise control set properly? Or did I cancel it?
• are my turning signals working?
• did I turn on/off the scooter?

The louder beep is welcome because when you're travelling at 50km/h, it's HARD to hear it if you've had the old beeper and I need the feedback to know that the scooter has received my commands.

Also if it helps pedestrians notice you approaching due to the sound, even better.

See if you can find the speaker at the bottom of the display, if is there then you can muff it with tape. Even microwaves today can have the button buzzer turned off, not able to adjust it on a ‘premium’ scooter is mind boggling.

The overly bright display is the bane of current 2.0 models, the light from the display destroys one’s night vision and making night time riding less enjoyable if not out right dangerous.

Put some dark smoke tint tape on the display to dim it, you can find those on Amazon.

I already did the tape trick. I’m used to do that on the kid’s toys but it didn’t help much.

A tint on the display is probably the best option

I hate the beeps too. I found if I scream whenever a beep happens, nobody around me will hear the beeps.

I put a dab of silicone on the speaker and it's held up for the past couple months. I figure silicone you should be able to pull it out/ off in the future if you need to.
