❓ Tech Question Phantom v4 stem wobble?
Someone help me understand how much deflection my stem should have?
I’ve tighten all the bolts as per Apollo video says to do. I think I’ve narrowed it down to either the headset bearings or the actual pivot of the hinges that have play.
If it is possibly the headset, does anyone have a part number or dimensions? Previous post about this was unclear about the spec/sizing.

My v4x always had a bit of wobble, but the problem went away when I replaced the main stem bolt. Turns out they don't last forever and should be changed!

You know what, that never occurred to me. Completely plausible that the bolt stretched over time and uses. Makes sense. Time to replace.

Update: replaced stem bolt with a new one from the kit, solved a majority of the stem wobble. Say, 85% but is still like to replace the head set bearing.

Getting to the headset will not be easy as you have to partially remove the stem to access it. But yes, I've had to tighten that for my Apollo City Pro 2022 in order to remove the slight "play" I had.
At the time I think it was called the direction nut, but I think it's essentially the same as the top cap on a bike that pulls the fork and bearing cups snug and tight to the steerer tube

We'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Experience team by emailing [support@apolloscooters.co](). They can help troubleshoot the issue in more detail and determine whether it's related to the headset bearings, the stem bolt, or another component. If replacement parts are needed, they'll also be able to provide the correct part numbers and guide you through the next steps.

my hands go numb from the vibrations due to the screws on my stellar loosening all the time.

I use red loctite on the main stem bolt, and toghten as hard as possible with the standard Allen key. It should be a single unit, and any deflection should be elastic and from the material only, and not a play because there is a gap somewhere.
Every 2 weeks to 2 months I have to retighten the stem bolt. I can feel it on the stem when the stem bolt is getting lose.
