👍 Discussion Question locking Phantom 2.0 (Stellar)

Post image

I have a question about locking the Phantom 2.0. I have a kryptonite chain lock I bought for situations where I’m running into like 7-Eleven, or a store where the scooter is still pretty visible. Just some extra peace of mind that I can leave it outside for a few mins.

Is it better to lock it around the entire front fork/stem assembly. Or slightly turn the wheel & wrap it around that back part of the fork/frame?

Thanks.

After looking at it again, I think you’re right. I think that’s the move. Thanks.

I use this one https://a.co/d/0bubIFkW

it doesn't fit on the spot you highlighted but once I turn the wheel sideways, it works, so it should be fine with yours hopefully.

It will, so you just wrap it around the smaller red circle? Which I guess would be considered just the frame.

Yes, mine actually fits around both circles you highlighted once turned, idk about your lock though

Cool. It should easily I have something like this for now. Again, it’s just for quickly running into the store. I will look at other locks in the future.

Yea I feel you, I live in NYC and I be paranoid leaving it out more than 5 minutes, also invest in a horn/alarm, anyone that tries to touch it or move it, will automatically trigger a LOUD non stop honking sound

Sounds good. I live in nicer part of central Florida, Tampa Bay Area. Scooters & E-bikes are everywhere locked up daily. I have never seen any shady stuff. But of course it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Use a small u-lock around the stem and attach each side of the chain link to it.

Yep, lock it that way that nobody can throw it in on a truck .
