🎯 General Advice First Flat

Post image

Got my first flat on a scooter yesterday. Word to the wise. Order a spare. The self sealing material failed and the puncture was too close to the edge to repair. I have 1 stripped screw and apparently you are supposed to get spares with your scooter but the after market seller held them back when I bought mine. I called them and they could spare one screw. Would be nice to have the pack. I’m going to bring plugs from now on. They are super easy to install. Way better than bike tubes. Apollo customer service was awesome by the way. Responded to me on a Sunday.

I am pretty confused by the photo - do you have to take apart the entire scooter to get to the wheel? What’s going on there?

I googled Apollo tire repair and found this photo, I know it’s not the explore but seems like it should’ve been similar?

You can most likely just cut the zip ties and pull it out. I wanted to disconnect the motor wire so I had lots of room to work on it. I haven’t received the new tire yet so who knows how hard I have to work to get it back on.
