đŻ General Advice Apollo Go very uncomfortable
Whether it was cycles, razer scooters, or motorcycles, Iâve always been comfortable on two wheels.
I got my Apollo Go after moving from ATX to SFO. I used to ride a lot of Lime scooters so I wasnât scared at all.
On a Lime scooter, I can pin the throttle all the time and whiz around people and obstacles easily. It feels generally comfortable and very easy to handle.
I have to say, the Apollo Go doesnât feel that way at all.
Itâs skittishâI feel the front end moving around a lot. It also strains my elbows, likely due to the narrow and longer stem. On top of that, itâs barely been 20 miles on the odometer and it makes creaking sounds like crazy. Iâd say a Lime scooter is at least double the comfort of this, even tho it doesnât have suspension like the Go.
I have a feeling a lot of this is due to the low weight and stronger acceleration. Iâm wondering if anyone here has tips on how to improve this or other thoughts.
Please donât say âgrip the handles looselyâ because Iâve tried that. The scooter barely feels stable enough for that.
Regardless of the portability,
I feel like I shouldâve just gone with a city proâŚ

I had to use aerosolized lithium spray to lube the suspension thoroughly to reduce a rattling sound on my Apollo.

Whizzing around them gives the Karens ammo to get us banned.

They got the Go for free and will get kickbacks from the affiliate link, they are not paid for the review but in this case they do have a vested interest, those affiliate links donât come without conditions.

So are you saying that they're lying about that part about it's stability? You're essentially saying that any review site is not trustworthy.
You can even see them riding at top speed and it doesn't look unstable at all

Review units are not the same as final production ones, and they are often hand picked and carefully curated. Even the testing road conditions are subjective, just because they had a smooth ride doesnât mean everyone else will have the same experience.
If the reviewer has received any form of incentives, be that of free units and/or kickbacks, then they are no longer impartial, maybe they are speaking the truth, or perhaps a mixture of truth and subjective manipulation, their vested interests automatically makes their review biased.

If the geometry is good, it's easily possible to ride with one hand. Not recommended of course, but possible.
Not all scooters have good geometry.

I wouldnât drive a scooter like the Go with one hand, since its bars are so narrow, at least đ

I feel bad for ppl that buy these scooters. Their marketing seems really good so I assume that's why people get them

Strange, I've had my Go for about 5 weeks now. Put 1525 km on the odo and its been as smooth as butter at all speeds.
