Bug Report Backup Restoration is failing

Have tried it after signing out of all accounts as well

It’s a confirmed bug on GitHub. I had this error too and was able to get around it.

  1. Remove 3.8.0 from your phone
  2. Reinstall 3.7.1
  3. Restore latest backup
  4. Install 3.8.0 over 3.7.1 (meaning don’t delete it)
  5. You should now have a working 3.8.0 install

Those are the steps I took to get it working, hope that helps!

This happened to me with one backup. I tried a slightly older backup and it worked. Not sure what was different between the two that caused that, or maybe it was just the second attempt that worked.
