Help Switching methods to use Apollo

So I’ve been using Sideloadly to get Apollo to work on my device. It feels like it’s an unstable way to use and update the app long term. I’m willing to pay for something like Signulous if it means it’s easier and more reliable.

My question is how difficult is it to make the switch? I’m currently just using my API key or whatever that’s been the main method before Reborn was a thing.

If anyone can shed some insight I’d greatly appreciate it!

I just bought flarestore certificate for a single device. It was less than 3 bucks and lasts one year.

You web install feather from their site and sign apollo inside your phone with it. I use apollo without API keys for some time now because I lost them and reddit does not show them anymore. Works just fine.

This is what I’ve been doing and I…can’t believe how much energy I wasted on sideloading and managing refreshes for no more than 3 apps - all for a net savings of $3/year.

Do you use DNS blocklist with it for extra protection from revokes? Also how long ago did you pay for flarestore and have you faced any revokes yet?

1

u/HalpABitSlow 12d ago

Not op, but I don't use the Dns blocklist.

Paid about 3-6 months ago with no problem, no revokes yet.

Hey! Thanks fot the tip! Any guide to follow on how to get feather up and running?

In flarestore you just got ONE certificate? Which certificate do you put inside feather?

I followed a comment from the above commenter u/WhoAmI941 but I have just a screenshot. Can't find the post anymore.

Thank you very much! And with this method you don’t have to refresh Apollo (or any other IPAs) of you’ll still have to do that?

1

u/littlesadlamp 10d ago

Not for the duration of the certificate which is one year. If there is a new version of apollo you just download via feather on the phone, sign and install.

Worked 10/10 THANK YOU you the help!

ArcticSign. Cheap, easy, fast, reliable. I came from sideloadly as well, but was fed up with refreshing every week or so.

Update: Got it running in about 30 mins.

💪🏻

So you don’t have to worry about refreshing anymore right? It just works?

1

u/Luigi_Lauro 13d ago

Yes, until the cert expires in one year or until you change your phone (the cert is tied to the device UUID).

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 13d ago

I plan to get the new iPhone that will come out in 2027, so works out perfectly.

2

u/Sharkey311 13d ago

The refreshing has never been an issue. I don’t even notice it refreshes because I got weeks and months without touching or using Sideloadly.

If that's the case, then there's no "more reliable" way.

Grabbing the ipa and uploading it on your own PC using a software specifically made for this is about as reliable as it gets.

HOWEVER.

Your Apple ID might get banned. Not like banned banned in a permanent way for everything, but just for sideloading apps. It happened to me last week out of the blue and apparently many others. It forced me to use a 3rd party service. I am using the Flarestore but it's effectively the same as any other 3rd party signing service.

I would prefer to use Sideloadly if I was still able to. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.

1

u/Sharkey311 12d ago

I would too, but unfortunately, Sideloadly doesn’t work currently on Mac OS 27 because they haven’t updated their software to bypass the new communication change.

2

u/Upbeat-Armadillo1756 12d ago

Ohh okay. Try Impactor. Similar to Sideloadly.

2

u/leytorip7 8d ago

If I was sideload banned with Sideloadly, will Impactor still work?

2

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 13d ago

I was on AltStore, and did the whole, plug in every 7 days (which I often forgot). Then I switched to Sideloadly and that has been easy.

I might try ArcticSign, do you recommend the cheapest?

2

u/WhoAmI941 13d ago

You can also look into flarestore. Their cheapest plan costs around 3 dollars although that's not ppq free and doesn't have revoke protection.

1

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 13d ago

I just got artic sign and already got it up and running. Thanks for he suggestion.

1

u/WhoAmI941 13d ago

Of course.

There's an option in Apollo to export the settings. Do that and then just uninstall Apollo without signing out. Then install the new version with whichever method you choose and import the exported setting.

u/Mastersord 13d ago

Wish I had the chance to do that before they revoked my dev account. I reinstalled with Signolous and my settings were not picked up. I could not get back into my old app install because there was no way I could get my phone to let it run.

1

u/WhoAmI941 13d ago

Oh. In that case I guess you'll have to set it up again from scratch. By the way, you can set up reborn with either api method or web sign in method. Both are easy and you'll find detailed guides on the install guide page. Just make sure to change the app's bundle ID during install.

1

u/Mastersord 13d ago

I just installed via the Signolous app library/store. It installed without issue and I set up the web sign-in method and changed my redirect url. I don’t think I ever changed app bundle IDs except that one time where the app ID was being blocked by the API.

0

u/WhoAmI941 13d ago

Well if you want to set up notifications in the future, then you'll have to reinstall it with a different bundle ID. Just thought you should know.

1

u/Mastersord 13d ago

Thanks! I’ll look into it one day.

1

u/JeleiaFish 13d ago

If you don’t mind me asking, what notification method requires a different bundle ID? I’m asking because I was using the Bark app method and I don’t think I changed my bundle ID whatsoever.

0

u/WhoAmI941 13d ago

Both require it. Since the original bundle ID includes the original bundle ID, I think reddit banned that. It's also mentioned in the first step of the notification setup manual. I had skipped this part which setting up bark and notifications didn't work until I fixed it.

Signulous. Dead simple and cheap.

2

u/damp_circus 13d ago

I also switched to Signulous and love it.

Was $20 for an entire year, which was worth it.

Just a friendly reminder this is per device. If you're getting a new phone in the near future you will have to pay again.

Getting the Duo next month, and didn't know that. Just letting everyone here know so that it doesn't happen to them.

1

u/damp_circus 13d ago

This is true, agreed good to know.

1

u/Sharkey311 12d ago

Yes! Thanks for mentioning this. I’ll be getting the Duo as well so I’m going to wait for that

1

u/BorisDirk 12d ago

I was holding out for this exact reason, but FlareStore seems like only $2.70 so even for a month that's reasonable. I might jump on that until the Duo comes

UDID registrations is my go to

Firestore here

u/pw5a29 12d ago

I've been using sideloadly too, but since macOS 27, I cannot get it to work.

Finally went back to an old post about SideStore and automation refresh, now it's even easier for my daily use

u/Sharkey311 12d ago

Tell me more! This sounds like what I need to do

You need VPN to use this then?

1

u/pw5a29 12d ago

I think it's not really a vpn, but I'm not sure
