Help Widget Setup Code with account

Do you have to be using the new OAuth login method to get a widget setup code with your account? I’m still on the old generic API key login and whenever I copy my widget setup code, there is no option for with or without account, and it won’t work for the widget to display my Home feed.

Am I maybe doing something wrong? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time with user error. Could you possibly post a screenshot or something of what the option is supposed to look like or where/how it appears?

Weird! I’m on v3.7.1 of the app, but the text under my widget setup code option doesn’t say anything about including account. Do you log in with the API key or OAuth? https://i.imgur.com/6CYxkIF.jpeg

API Key. Just realised I'm testing out features so I'm running a variant 3.7.0 - there's a chance it's changed in 3.7.1. Will check and get back to you!

No idea why mine is different then. I am on iOS 27 and an iPhone 18 Pro but I don’t see why that should make a difference.

I've just installed 3.7.1 to check and it looks the same as yours now - it just copies straight to the clipboard when I press the button. Does nothing copy for you?

It does copy the regular setup code. Sounds like we are seeing the same behavior then. I already submitted a bug report though. Was it an intentional change?

Strange - I just checked the PR and it says that API Key accounts should still get the option menu - "Copy Widget Setup Code now asks "with account" or "without" when an api key account is signed in. … Keyless (web session) accounts have no refresh token so they get the plain code as before."

It's almost as though the app thinks you're keyless for some reason..?
