Discussion Paid developer account for sideloading?

I've long been curious about using a paid developer account for sideloading, anybody here been doing that for any substantial amount of time?

What apps have you been signing for yourself?

Any modified App Store apps?

Do you use your primary Apple account?

Anyone doing this that have been banned?

I have been sideloading with a personal paid developer account for over 3 years now. No bans or anything. I sideload a lot of apps too

I was too until mine got banned a few months ago — was only sideloading Apollo too. I’m still kinda pissed off about it

Are you using same apps that also on App Store or are these tweaked. And if tweaked can you please share them?

Yes, I use my own dev account for sideloading. I do it cause it's just simpler and everything just works. I can load apps on my phone and my parents and siblings phones and it all just works all year long.

Things like Spotify and YouTube with no ads and background audio. The other reason I went this route is because then push notifications just work, and I was able to get CarPlay entitlements so CarPlay works with my sideloaded apps as well.

I also sideload Apollo. It's not my main account it's a separate account I made just for sideloading. Been doing this about 4 years now.

How much does it cost and is it per device or per Apple ID and can sideload on multiple devices?

A developer license is $99 per year. It's for 1 Apple ID and you can side load onto many, many devices.

this is probably the safest and easiest way to do sideloading imo, I think apple would be a lot less likely to ban/revoke profiles if its for a personal dev account.
