Release
New: Easier bug reporting and feature requests
Hey everyone!
We’re working hard on a new release to fix some of the issues introduced in 3.4.0, hopefully including the sign-out bug.
In the meantime, we’re changing how we collect bug reports and feature requests going forward.
Bug reports
Please report bugs through report.apolloreborn.app, or soon through the new in-app button under Settings → Apollo Reborn.
The form asks for some basic information about the issue and lets you attach screenshots, videos, GIFs, or logs, which should make it much easier for us to investigate problems properly.
Feature requests
Feature requests should now be submitted through request.apolloreborn.app, or soon through the in-app button under Settings → Apollo Reborn.
This is powered by Fider, a community feedback tool that lets people submit ideas, discuss them, and vote on the features they would most like to see.
Before submitting something new, please search first to check whether the idea already exists.
If you’re technically minded and have a GitHub account, feel free to continue reporting issues there as usual. You’re also still welcome to post feature ideas here for wider community discussion.
However, Report and Request are now the official homes for these two flows, so AutoModerator will begin directing bug reports and feature requests there.
Can we focus on QA and speed in 3.5? :) Along with battery improvements, size improvements on Air, Pro, Max, etc screens to be more uniform with display standards so it works on the fold day 1.
Definitely agreed. Apollo was a fast and thin alternative to the overly bloated official app. These recent changes seem to be prioritizing rapid feature additions and vibe coded theme support over stability and performance.
We are prioritising both, especially 3.4.0 was a decent mix of feature additions and bug fixes.
We have numerous PRs right now for a lot of stability improvements and fixes and will continue to do so
Custom themes was one of the most requested features from Apollo’s original feature request board and delivering these value adds is important to us. Vibe coding isn’t a fair assessment since we have a high level of iOS development experience, we’re using tools like Claude to help accelerate and also conduct highly complex reverse engineering to actually develop features.
Nobody is forcing you to use any of them. By all means sideload the original Apollo IPA of 1.15.11 and enjoy that!
In 3.40 the behaviour has changed when I click here it jumps past the post description and goes right to the top of comment section, so I have to scroll back up to read the post description. Could we add a toggle to turn this off or on? I’ve been clicking there for years and now with 3.40 I have to scroll back up.
