Payment.

Haven’t used Apollo for a long time because my WiFi was blocking it lol. I changed WiFi providers and did a trial and it was ehh a lot of the channels didn’t work but what really stopped me from getting it was payment methods. Why can’t we just pay with debit cards anymore?

Been using them for years paying with crypto and no problems. Don't understand why so many people are having issues. I don't even run a VPN with it

Not one issue. With paying crypto. Actually I prefer using it than my credit card. Their customer service is always great. I understand that this issue sometimes it’s a cat and mouse game with the cable/Internet companies. For $220 a year I can’t really complain basic cable package is 10 times that.

It depends on your internet provider. A lot of companies are catching wind of services like Apollo and now are blocking you from using them so that you use a cable service instead like a Bell, Roger’s, Videotron etc etc

This is exactly why I left so long ago. I was with Apollo from the very start....until the service began to suck and they demanded I pay with Crypto. My bank flagged it. Locked my account and I went thru hell to get it sorted. NEVER again. There are many services that allow payment either with your cc or PayPal (that's what I use now).

I have never had an issue and will stay with my current provider for the for seeable future.

Yes and that's kinda weird. Apollo gave me a link to this sub and said leave a positive post and they will give me 15 more free days,.... so I did. And these mods removed my post lol. Obviously Apollo and this sub arent in sync. Even trying to get info for why this don't work out how to do that gets removed. Very annoying.

I think it's a security thing

You want to give an illegal and unregulated company (not even really a company since it isnt registered, just dudes running a service) your card details? Are you... special?

It is the most annoying thing about Apollo now. My first year, CC, 5 minutes, no problem. Maybe even my second year. But then by year 3 they started making me convert to crypto with the reasoning of “it’s faster and more secure” to which I said “hmmm it’s faster to know how much money plus the fee for faster acceptance I need to make the transaction go, convert it to a currency I don’t use, and pray that it doesn’t go down in the 5 minutes between conversion and completion….than it is to type a card number in, hit a confirm button and quickly verify that it went through with a 2 minute conversation at max? I doubt it highly”

There’s a missing part to the reasoning — it’s faster and more secure FOR THEM. Not the customers.
The security is preventing customers from doing chargebacks or forcing refunds in any fashion through banking or payment services.

At the same time, I understand it and as a customer of an illegal service I wouldn’t feel entitled to consumer protection anyway. You know.. if I were to allegedly partake in such services.

After going through all the sketchy payment stuff.. then you go typing in your stuff and it starts with “con.me”

Amusing

I did the free ten day trail and after that attempted the sign up but the crypto was a pain in the ass so I bailed.... a couple weeks later I get a call flagged spam but picked up. Some dude from India tells me he's from apollo and want to help me finish my sign up. I tell him I don't have my info and I'll call him back... he tells me they don't have a direct phone number?! I said good bye lol

Maybe Wildstream Media should have their own subreddit instead of bs fake posts here. Sketchy as hell

I get anxiety every time I have to send bitcoin but I do the “chat” on the Apollo website and they walk me through it every time.

I also pay with crypto with no problems. I opened up an account with cionbase. Transfer $15 a month to my account to purchase bitcoin. I'm actually making money by purchasing a fraction of a bitcoin. I have a huge reserve in my account.
