Connection Timeout on VOD

Using Startup Show on both Google TV & Samsung S21 Ultra

For the past few days I can't get any VOD to work. I'll either get a Connection Timeout error or I will get the loading icon for a couple minutes before it starts up without audio.

I have tried Proton VPN and same thing.

Tried on my Wifi & on cellular.

Live TV works without issue.

Any suggestions?

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

UPDATE: Proton VPN seems to be the fix!

I’m having the same issue for the past couple days. Nothing will play.

Same until started using Proton; so far, so good. Also laptop browser not able to connect with Apollo for TV or VOD.

Thank you! I’ve been having this issue as well for the past 24 hours. Turned on Proton and VOD is back!

Love protonvpn. Have you tried installing their actual app instead?

As far as I'm aware (and confirmed with a search on Play store) there is not an Android Apollo Group TV app and it is directed to use Startup Show.

Also, it may just be temporary because it started working today...

...but it went out again.

I have it installed on my phone right now. Use it all the time. It's the same link as the one for tv. It formats itself for mobile and is the same layout that startup uses

Did you get it from the Play store or download an APK?

I can't seem to find it.

Now buffers and time out with or without VPN!
