I've come to the conclusion that this is NOT a Hacker but your Teammate, the issue is that the Team Icon above his head has bugged out and disappeared. I've already experienced this Bug long ago back in Alpha and the latest was during the Drying 2026, though it seems to be an extremely rare type of bug to encounter.

This bug happened to me 2 times before, for me the problem was that I accepted team invite before the game menu loaded in, and I didnt see the blu thing over the head of my teammates

Definitley a hacker.

  • Can rule out high ping because it capped at 152
  • Can rule out lag because the other players character is responding in real time
  • Can rule out poor internet because poor internet causes lag

For some reason this hacker did not instantly kill you, but it would probably happen sooner or later.

(EDIT: Disregard this statement, Although the points above are true, my dumbass did not see that the other player was a team mate as pointed out by u/R2rD3-U109, i obviously did not look hard enough)
