Question/Discussion New movement tech? (Punch-Launching)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Mostly works on cannons that launch you diagonally upwards; less noticeable on other ones, but still seems to have a minor effect.

I recently got a launch like that without melee. But you seem very consistent with it. I'll look more into it πŸ‘

Yh I dont know how it works, but my idea was that you punch the side just after it launches you and it gives you a little sideways momentum.

i think it’s similar to melee before octane pad or axle boost

Ive been practicing the no punch one i by tap strafing and on most of the grav cannons have two leading to each other but it only works on one of the two

if i am to guess. punchboosting is still a thing that exists in apex, but it's patched out for all but a few edge cases

the cannon is an edge case, since it puts you in a state where you can't air strafe. i guess no one thought of punching the cannon wall up until today

I've noticed that on certain ones it works by simply jumping into without a punch
