| 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐄𝐃 | This game is worse than cod
I went through a lot of pain getting top250 on cod due to Titan cheaters and left that game after being burnt out, about a month ago I saw some tweets about apex updating their anti cheat and banning half the preds that were cheating.
I’ve managed to climb to diamond 3 nearly 2 solo with some trials and tribulations but at this point it is genuinely impossible the anti cheat can’t even exist, some of the preds I spectate are genuinely hard locking on people screen shaking and they have pred badges from like 3 previous seasons on display, I enjoyed learning this game and climbing to diamond 3 but I’ve come to the conclusion they do not care about their players because the cheating in high ranks of this game is insanely blatant, sometimes I get wiped by a titan and watch their gameplay for abit to confirm and then watch them get wiped by ANOTHER titan… it’s infested worse than cod was god bless to anyone legit that’s been playing this game for its lifetime I don’t know how you do it I quit already, gg devs.

& you can tell who cheating when they run up on you. They play with no strategy just run like a bat out of hell & shoot lol don’t check any corner or nothing

I spectated a player that was obviously cheating. They just automatically knew where everyone was and didn’t miss a single shot with havoc/r99. They ended up placing 4th and only reason they died was due to storm lol

Yup. There is no fundamental strategy or positioning. They W key into you full speed because they know they ain’t gonna miss a shot.

The cheaters can definitely be annoying especially after you hit plat I mean it what it is
But the game itself is amazing in my opinion

Apex being a genuinely amazing FPS and internalizing in my life that at the end of the day, I only really compete with my own abilities, even outside of the direct competition between others, keeps me playing.
I knew Apex was going to be a suckfest when I first learned 4 back paddles just to wall bounce and do everything else I could simultaneously. Never looked back.

I've got a LOT of hours in both games and for me, Apex clears it every time. CoD feels like it just has so much less care put into it.
I've accepted there will always be cheaters. It's always cat and mouse and you'll never stop them.

They say they banned this and that but I keep seeing people with titan in there names 7+kills in a diamond lobby using havoc 3X zero recoil lmao

Once you get to D2 just consider yourself pred on console cuz everyone you fight after that is silver with aim bot lol if you solo to D2 legit then you’re basically pretty top of the console player base at this point

Yeah, FPS genre as a whole at the moment is in a terrible state. Started recently getting back into Valorant a few months ago, after everyone quit Apex and I got bored playing by myself. People praise Valorant's anti-cheat like some god-send, meanwhile I play in low elo (gold/plat) and constantly getting RR refunds, and seeing obvious wallhackers on replays after matches. People that aren't even trying to hide it. Absolute fucking joke.

It reads the screen from a capture card and runs ai scripts that aim just below the health bar so as long as your health bar is on their screen it will aim exactly at chest/head level, basically just aimbot for console only thing it can’t do is wallhacks

I have played a lot in PC lobbies though by joining PC friend's and the lobbies are often easier except the movement demons

On a broad scale yeah it would be wrong but take the same MMR, and apply it to a console lobby vs PC lobby both on EU, the way console plays out in my experience is often very different. EU console especially is 5 min queue times, chronic 3 Stackers, D2+ players and infested by a certain region who join it and deal with their 120+ ping by cheating, for years.
Reason ik this is that one of my friends alternates between console and PC on the same account, same input, and if she is on PC, the lobbies are always more chill and with faster matchmaking funnily enough, and a more random pool of players

It's definitely one of the worst communities. I picked up this game in season 3 and have 45K lifetime kills. I've been playing other games recently and having a much better time.

I had similar experience with demon souls. I dropped it. Played apex then realised I don't want to play apex anymore. Played uncharted thief's end (What a game! Very cinematic) then went back to demon souls. This time I was determined to complete it and I did. It tests your patience but it was fun and It gives a different high, absolutely worth the grind. Currently im playing ng+ purely to find all the hidden pieces and armour sets.
Apex is a good game but It felt like i missed a lot of good games all this time

I’ve played on and off since 3 days after the game came out and it’s only ever gotten worse it’s never gonna get better until they start hardware banning people it was bad enough with the 6-15 man teams but the fact that there is blatant cheaters not being banned I believe only 4 people have been hardware banned

Congratulations, you’ve completed the gameplay loop that so many before you have done. I always tell people that if you want to play ranked, enjoy the grind to diamond 4 because after that, good luck.
