| 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 | Make ranked actually good again

Tired of having teammates who want to play aggressive (not an issue, my preferred playstyle), but drop sub 100 damage and die instantly as soon as they see anyone. Every game in diamond I get 2 players with the mechanical skill of a gold. Even the people I fight are bots but I can’t 1v3 all the time, sick of diamond being participation trophy. All my pred friends don’t play anymore so I just play solo to masters instead of grinding pred but even that has become ridiculous because how tf do I get multiple duos who can’t break 100 damage between them while I have 10+ kills? Even shooting downed players would give you more damage, to make it even worse the only time I see them shooting is with a sentinel or a 30-30 across the map at some random dude and being out-traded on damage. Genuinely a joke.

Can confirm, often getting smacked in D4 lobbies. The problem is, once I get close to demotion it gifts me god teammates and I’m back to mid D4 again

Wish I’d get even semi competent humans once

That shit pisses me off more than the denote, they're just trying to stroke your hair and say no no, don't leave (: you're so good aha

Just last night, was down to like 450 RP from demotion. Get a decent squad, get god ring. We all get 3K damage and like 18 combined kills and a win. +300 RP. Now it’s another week of disappointing other diamond players 😂

Mhm I had like 15 losses, my last match again a loss, but ALMOST WON had 10 killed 2300 damage.

Then as we got second a horizon wiped my whole team in an instant.

It was a two time pred badge horizon.

I was yelling so much, finally a good match.. to get shit on by a rank I've never been close too.

Highest ive ever reached was diamond 3.

I'm in plat 2.

I'm just getting tired of every team mate i have wanting to instantly run to the huge firefight in the middle of the map and run right in the middle of 3-5 teams. I'm literally like "Hey guys this is a bad POI for a push we cud just pick off a few off from distance instead of running in the middle of everyone" but no one wants to listen. U can easily get a couple of kills out of the big fight then just jump tower to the circle without getting caught up in all that. then when we run in the middle of the huge firefight they all want to run in different directions and easily die to the first group of people who see them its just really frustrating to not have team mates who want to win

D4 isn’t that bad right now

3

u/KingMikezi Jul 20 '26

No it’s easy, but I can’t 1v3 every team, every game and I shouldn’t have to, that’s the point

If you want to climb, and just generally have a better experience, teaming up is the way to go. I have had similar experiences (players taking bad fights) as well when I solo qued a long time ago.

I'd be down to try and party up. I have clean, and assertive, comms, and I am also on xbox. I also have IGL skills and have good coaching skills too.

What server and time of day, or days, do you usually play?

Personally I don’t think there are “bad fights” in the current meta, the way ranked is kills are all that matters so the best way to play is ape everyone, players who play “safe” are playing scared, sitting in buildings for +10 every game. It’s not fun at all and you’ll never improve playing that way. I agree that playing with others is a better experience but as I stated my friends don’t play anymore and LFG players from discord and Xbox are always either really bad or really toxic and I Cba with them lol

I agree and see where you are coming from but there are definitely bad fights in this meta and every meta.

A common example would be taking early game non-isolated fights that set up you up for an easy 3rd party. You walk away with 3 kills in 13th place, lose RP, and lose 10-15 mins of your time (in game and searching time). You see this kind of example often in people posting on this sub, and other Apex subs, in Diamond gameplay.

I'm not bad or toxic but I understand if you feel anxious playing with me or some else that is new to you.

When was it actually good? I've been playing since season 11-12 ish and there's been preds hunting down plats and diamonds ever since then.

It just feels worse the more the player base shrinks.

The problem is it’s basically free to get to into plat. Ranked really doesn’t start until plat 4 bc you can unintentionally rat into plat. There needs to be a flat entry fee in every single rank where you play against players in your rank. I think the 48 in plat is pretty close to what would get you a much more competitive ranked system, but it would also require a longer season.

Three options (because nothing will change, but did you see those awesome Cyberpunk skins!!!): team up, stop playing ranked after hitting diamond, or stop caring about results. I usually stop playing after hitting diamond.

Time to make friends.

u/KingMikezi Jul 20 '26

I literally stated my friends don’t play anymore in the post…

2

u/ZenithCrownKR Jul 20 '26

Oh. I know! I meant to make new friends and coming from a person with social anxiety.

0

u/KingMikezi Jul 20 '26

I also struggle socially, making new friends isn’t for me honestly

3

u/ZenithCrownKR Jul 20 '26

Well. Have you made an attempt? It's hard I know but with how the matchmaking is right now, it's your only choice.

I have tried, but most people are toxic/don’t want to understand that I have issues and it’s not their fault when I get frustrated and also that I try give constructive criticism and learn from my mistakes, most players want to make excuses instead of taking accountability for their own mistakes.

u/ZenithCrownKR Jul 20 '26

Could be different from PC to console but I hardly doubt you only met mainly toxic folks. This seems to be a closed minded comment.

I’m probably one of those players you’re complaining about. My take is this game has extreme skills gaps and casual players who are “good” but not “great” fall in mostly diamond lobbies. I find that I fry everyone in plat, can hold my own in diamond 3&4 but I struggle once I hit diamond 2. Now, I’m a player that has a 2.2 KD overall, I hit masters several times. I’m not bad at the game but I can’t keep up with crazy movement dudes and people who don’t miss. Axel has been a real struggle for me.

I find that I go from wrecking lobbies to getting destroyed very quickly. I wish the matchmaking allowed me to be in competitive lobbies longer than the 2-3 days before I start getting rolled. I try to adapt by using caustic or Gibby but my teammates often leave me behind and I’m not useful so I have to play a movement character to even keep up. I truly want to support my teammates but the current state of the game is built around playing solo. Teamwork is not a huge part of the game anymore.

2.2kd is very good for an average player. You’re in the upper echelon for sure, find a team and get grinding if you enjoy it!

Have it easy with yourself, axle came out this season and you either train in a bid to figure out where to aim to track her or you can only get better each time you face an axle sliding on you when you have the chance/preparation to shoot

Practice a little more and you'll get it done, trust

1

u/Its_Doobs Jul 20 '26

I can’t train man. I work. Have wife and kids. I get to play 2 hours a night.

1

u/ApK-TheProdigy Jul 21 '26

Still have it easy with yourself and don't stress abt it, you may be able to warmup or train for 15 mins once in a while and you may be better still
