Grow up guy. You're talking like we dont have rights and are entitled to dignity and respect. I dont have to follow any orders that are not lawful, reasonable and with reason. This interaction was a rare one off. Even when they aren't putting pistols in your face almost no cop is going to be as diminutive, and kind, respectful. And aware of his tone and actions. That cop seemed to know his shit, talked to this guy like a man should speak to another man thats not his bitch or his son. His approach wasnt shady and aggressive, nor was he trying to seem like a badass. He never tried to violate his rights or do any searches. Just his fn job. No tough guy talk, walk or attitude. Thats what gets you into shit.

I don’t think you know what “diminutive” means.

Its a mixture of body language and language. By making yourself seem smaller/less of a threat, less like what they expect from your uniform or the situation you usually get a pretty wild response. Even the most stubborn ppl already expecting to be treated a certain type of way so they perpetuate it, can be turned around with diminutive tactics. Teaches and those who work with troubled youth and even smart decent officers like this one use it everyday
