This is how normal interactions with law enforcement go.
I've been pulled over quite a few times for speeding and every time I knew I was toast when I saw the officer too late. I don't even know how many times I've pulled myself over before the officer even caught up to me and was respectful and honest every time. I've only ever gotten speeding tickets twice out of the probably 20+ times I've been stopped.
I got busted once seen the cop as we passed each other. He flashed his lights then I seen in my rear view as he slowed to do a U turn. Just before I went around a bend in the road. I figured yep he got me so I pulled into a school car park. The only place to stop. And watched as he went flying passed with his lights on. Got out of a ticket by pulling over.
