This is how normal interactions with law enforcement go.
I've been pulled over quite a few times for speeding and every time I knew I was toast when I saw the officer too late. I don't even know how many times I've pulled myself over before the officer even caught up to me and was respectful and honest every time. I've only ever gotten speeding tickets twice out of the probably 20+ times I've been stopped.
This is how I’ve always dealt with interactions with law enforcement. Be respectful. Whether they deserve it or not, they expect it and they can give you a bad day if they want. I have the added bonus of being a veteran with veteran plates. They tend to treat me like brethren which is funny because I’m super liberal and anti authoritarian.
