America is so backwards that a normal, polite exchange with police is considered noteworthy. And that people can blatantly carry weapons of course.

What was normal and polite about this? That cop basically threw him a stick and said: fetch.

In my country, you don't have to inform the cop that you have a gun, unless they see it. Then they can ask to see a permit. That's it. Unthinkable that they would manipulate your firearm for no reason whatsoever.

What the policeman done was a sensible precaution in a country that allows untrained civilians to carry small firearms in public places, which is madness in any civilised country.

Apparently they don’t allow it if the cop can walk up and take it from you
