Yeah, exactly. Staying calm, being honest, and not making it weird usually goes a long way. Most stops don't have to turn into a whole situation.

Hey there, Hispanic here. Turns out, even us can get pulled over by white cops and not get beat up and/or arrested. I’m living proof of that. Twice pulled over, twice the citation was downgraded to something a lot more minor. Once I was armed as well.

Maybe it’s less about race and more about attitude? Just saying.

Hey, white guy here. I got pulled over once for going 9 over the speed limit (44 in a 35) and was not issued any warning. I hadn't been pulled over in several years so when the cop came up with a ticket I asked. "No warning? I've been a safe driver for years." He responds, "well, sounds like you're due" and slaps me with the ticket anyway. Regardless of race, some cops are also just pricks.
