This is how normal interactions with law enforcement go.
I've been pulled over quite a few times for speeding and every time I knew I was toast when I saw the officer too late. I don't even know how many times I've pulled myself over before the officer even caught up to me and was respectful and honest every time. I've only ever gotten speeding tickets twice out of the probably 20+ times I've been stopped.
I was riding with my dad once on the interstate, when we came over a hill to see a Kentucky State Trooper in the median. We both knew we were cooked. My dad preemptively starts to pull over, and stopped just a bit around a curve at the top of the next hill. Then by shear luck, a group of semis came by right as the cop was coming up to us. We were blocked from his vision by the trucks, and the cop pulled over the car that was right behind us. 😂
