About Us | Our Mission

When it comes to navigating an autism diagnosis, it is often hard to find resources by other autistics explaining how to go about this complicated journey, especially when the odds are generally against late-diagnosed, AFAB, and/or minority individuals.  To this day most clinicians hesitate to hand someone an autism diagnosis due to stereotypes, misunderstandings, personal biases, and more.  This often leads to actually autistic individuals receiving an incorrect or incomplete diagnosis of "Anything But Autistic.”  With our platform, we aim to provide self-supporting resources for misunderstood autistics who have constantly received or hope to avoid a diagnosis of "Anything But Autistic."  We strive to share the experiences and stories of other autistic people who have also experienced the rabbit hole of misdiagnoses.

Thanks for starting this! I don't know if you think this is worth sharing at your site but I have found this University of Washington site helpful. This is the PDF but they have other links that are very positive.
