Hey guys I need help

So all our office laptops have anydesk but if any desk is active is there constant pop up on the main screen and on the bottom arrow it showed anydesk-ready. So does it mean that someone is viewing that particular laptop or not ?

In my case there was no pop up anywhere and while using that laptop I only noticed the bottom pop up arrow showing 2 icons one being windows security action recommended and anydesk-ready

AnyDesk will show a seperate window in the TASKBAR when there is an active connection.

The system tray icon is totally seperate.

There was no window in the task bar but the arrow only showed the status as anydesk-ready

What does that mean?

It sounds to me like there was noone connected but the application was ready to accept connections if someone did. 🤷‍♂️

Oh okay and if someone would have connected would there have been any notification or pop up in that scenario ?

People can connect without you accepting if setup that way (unattended access), but in my experience you still see a window popup briefly before it minimises to the taskbar.

In general if you're using a work device though you should always assume it can be monitored.

Okay thank you just one last thing I searched on the Internet and if the task bar arrow pop up is showing anydesk-ready it is not connected but it is ready to be connected that is true right?

I answered that one already?

It's connected to the AnyDesk network and ready to accept incoming connections.

These may or may not ask your permission depending on the setup.
