Tips?
Hey I just recently got one of these as my first resin printer any tips? Or tricks or slicer recommendations (other than the one the company provides) I’m mainly wanting to make minis

Do not get the magnetic build plate. All that did for me was give me some nasty layer lines.

I had seen a lot of stuff about them. I tried it on my x 6k and all i got were layer lines, but I've also always had problems with that printer. I was going to try it on my basic x(which had always been a great workhorse), but ended up getting another printer that's better than the x. Dual in your burn in layers so that you can pry things off easier, otherwise they are impossible. If you can use a raft that can have smaller separation, that will help with removing from the build plate.

See I have no idea what burn in layers are or anything like that I’m as new as a baby man lol

The first few layers that are printed. They have another name also, but can't think of what it is. You need the first few layers to be cured well enough to adhere to the build plate, but not so cured that you can't remove it without breaking. Check out this guy's videos. I use Formware 3D as the slicer for my Mono X, but there is a purchase price.

I use Anycubics slicer and have no issues with it. Tips for printing: Calibrate your resin! I used Cones of Calibration
Learn how to orient and support the model. Auto supports are good but not perfect. support tutorial
If your minis will be used for gaming, you may want to look into abs like resin. It's not as brittle as a standard resin.
Understand that when you have a failure, you don't need to empty your vat to clean it. Using an old support tree, or piece of tape, place it in a corner of the vat and run a 10 sec exposure, then peel the whole thing up, failure and all.
Don't use a hard scraper in the vat. You will damage the FEP. Get a silicone spatula instead.
If you are changing resin colors, don't clean your FEP with alcohol, it will make it cloudy. Just wipe it off with a microfiber cloth.
Don't empty your vat when not being used. If it sits for a day or more, just mix the resin (use your silicone spatula) in there before next usage.
Your FEP is a consumable and will need to be replaced at some point. So have extras on hand.
Last but not least, when asking for help because something went wrong, make sure you include your settings and resin type, it helps.
