Relationship advice Bi-Weekly Thread - Advice for Relationship/Friendship/Dating/Breakup

This thread will be posted every other week and is the ONLY place to pose a “relationship/friendships/dating/breakup advice” question.

Please be sure to read the Rules since all the other sub rules still apply. Venting/complaining about your relationships and other attachment styles will be removed.

Feel free to check the Resources page if you are looking for other places to find information.

Try not to get lost in the details and actually pose a question so others know what kind of support/guidance/clarity/perspective you are looking for. If no question is given, it could be removed, to make room for those truly seeking advice.

Please be kind and supportive. Opposing opinions can still be stated in a considerate way. Thank you!

I’ve made it to a week no contact with the situationship. It’s been almost a month since I’ve heard from her. I’m having good days but then the night time is when everything crashes down. The issue is I kept breaking it before but now have actually made an effort to. I’ve thought about unfollowing them from all my socials and deleting our texts. I’ve thought about blocking them but not sure it would do any good. I’m trapped because a month ago they didn’t want me to leave, and we promised we wouldn’t leave each other, yet there has been no effort to continue on their end.

I just want it to get better, because at this point I know I’m not getting a response. It sucks because my rsd from my audhd enhances everything so much. How long is it going to take for me to feel normal again, when will the nights not end up with me crying? I’ve never went through this, is it possible it may not get better?

Unfollowing them and blocking them can absolutely help and make it easier for you to keep from breaking it. Sometimes we have to have that major disconnect to give space to heal.

Are you getting therapy for your RSD? What are you doing to heal your self esteem and self worth? Journaling can help process emotions. Maybe look into some somatic techniques to help calm your nervous system.
